My life’s work has been dedicated to the service to others. I greatly enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, ethnicities and belief systems. I will support you in addressing the problem(s) that you or your loved one is facing. I will join with you to create a treatment plan that addresses your reasons for seeking help. My experiences include working with a myriad of mental health issues in children, teens and adults.

I hold specialized training in expressive arts therapy, play therapy, teen substance abuse, and trauma treatment using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Motion Desensitation Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also trained in Family Preservation and have in-depth knowledge about behavior management. I will use researched approaches whenever applicable.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive arts therapy combines psychology and the creative process to promote emotional growth and healing. This multi-arts, or intermodal, approach to psychotherapy and counseling uses our inborn desire to create—be it music, theater, poetry, dance, or other artistic form—as a therapeutic tool to help initiate change. The difference between expressive arts therapy and art therapy is that expressive arts therapy draws from a variety of art forms, while art therapy tends to be based on one particular art form.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches.
